Pantry design help

last modified: 2 years ago

I need help designing our pantry and deciding where shelves vs. cabinetry are used and where prep sink will go. I bake bread weekly and considering that my baking needs, ingredients and proofing time will all take place in the pantry, a prep sink will be key.

Attached is the current plan for pantry. Thoughts:

1. I like the L-shaped shelving in the top corner, but having trouble deciding between shelving and upper cabinetry for the rest.

2. I'm thinking the prep sink would go on the longer left wall to not have to see it from the kitchen (top half of pantry door will be glass), but then that could also be a prettier view if it was in the center

3. I'm toying with a full length upper somewhere to half an appliance garage in case we don't make space for it in the kitchen.

4. Is there any benefit to open shelving on the bottom?

Any suggestions? And would love to see some pictures for inspiration!
