I love the simplicity of your nursery.

Children change their interests so quickly. Would you consider Rainbow themed bedding such as this set from PB? The chair seems like it would still be a great addition to a child's room for story time. Good luck!

Very neutral. More adult than child.

It'd be pretty easy to paint a rainbow on the wall (shiplap or not) ... just draw a rainbow on graph paper, then measure the grid onto the wall, draw it in with pencil and paint! It'll take time but not a whole lot of skill. Woudl be super cute.

I'd consider skipping the toddler bed and going straight to a twin bed. She'll need a larger bed fairly soon anyway.

Your nursery looks like a lovely size! I would definitely go with an accent wall where you are going to place the bed (my opinion is the back wall), will make your grandbaby very happy and excited! The colours will also be great for their colour learning and development! There are also some great rainbow accessories that will keep the room on theme, including some great children's furniture deals.

I am sure whatever you decide to do, your grandchild will be over the moon!

Choose wisely. She will have opinions before you know it and it would behoove you to stick to paint for the walls and leave the 'favorite' motifs to bedding and other accessories which can be swapped out easily. Maybe those easy on easy off large scale decals would be a better choice than wall paper.
