Hello,

I recently put light hardwood floors in my downstairs. We have carpet in the living room, dining room and family room, stairs and upstairs bedrooms. I had considered hardwood floors in living and dining rooms but the high ceilings would make the rooms noisy. When I chose the hardwood it seemed like it would look great with the existing carpet. After the wood was installed the carpet now feels dirty. I didn’t take the undertones into consideration. The wood has orange-beige undertones and the carpet has green-beige. I’m having a difficult time selecting the right color for carpet. I had not planned on replacing the carpet for a few more years but now because it doesn’t match it’s getting replaced.
