There wouldn’t be much difference for me with those two choices. There’s a gamble these days with almost any brand. We’ve had issues with both GE and Whirlpool (who owns JennAir). I would go with whatever features and price appeal to you most. Either of those brands could possibly need repairs or replacing in 5-7 years.

According to CR surveys, appliance reliability varies by product, there is no "best" brand across all appliance types. For example, GE gas ranges are top-notch in reliability but their dishwashers are only mediocre. So buy the best brand of each appliance type, not a single brand.

Purchase which ever one has the best longevity ratings so it will last you until you leave in 5-7 years. Also see which one has the best repair service available in your area. Unless you are going with some super high end appliances, I don't think it will matter to a prospective buyer.
