I think a lot of this choice depends on what your counter and cabinets are. A counter with a busy pattern does not look good with Arabesque IMHO. And the shade of the Arabesque tile would be very dependent on the counter and cabinet colors. I would wait to choose any backsplash tile until the counter is chosen, and preferably, already installed. Everything looks different once the cabinets and counters are installed - and the floors too.

I considered them when we remodeled almost 10 years ago. I am glad I didn't. I thought they would be trendy and dated even back then.

You're going to have a busy counter and busy floors. You could use the quartz for your backsplash, that would be lovely.

Not really a fan -- too fussy for my aesthetic. But, I've seen them done well. If they pair well with your other choices of hard elements and you like them, then why not?

I really like the arabesque shape, but I used it in my previous house when I remodeled several bathrooms back in 2012. It fit the house, which was a Spanish style in CA, so it should still look good today because they related to the style of the house.

I built in 2022 and did not do any arabesque tiles in my current house.

In your photos the paint color doesn't look great with the counter. Get some larger paint samples, take them to the store and hold them against the counter samples. Better yet, bring the counter sample to your kitchen and compare to a larger paint board in the actual space.

I like arabesque tile. They're classic.

I also find them classic. My grandparents had arabesque floor tiles (brick look to them) in their home built in the 70s. Coolest floors ever. I wanted to use them in my kitchen but picked out a busier granite, so I didn't. I did use them as the backsplash in the master bath.

I think it might also depend on the style of cabinets and overall feel of the kitchen. If it’s a new build with a modern look everywhere else it might feel a little off/ busy. If you like them though and are pulling together a more classic kitchen, I would go for it.

I have them at my coffee station. The problem I have is the amount of grout. I’ve had it for 6 years and I’ve been thinking about changing for last 3 years.

SW Latte is a warmer color. As stated above, not sure how that will look with your cool appearing counter
