No but your polyurethane top coat is starting to fail and the exposed wood is discoloring. They need to be buff and coated soon or they will need a full refinish.

Nope that’s just what real wood looks like.

If your top coat is failing and the wood below is coming into contact with cleaning solutions, (the grayish areas) they can contaminate the wood and prevent a good adherence of new top coat, so please get this remedied asap or it could be a much bigger job.

Do you get flies in the house? The white and black tiny spots look like fly.....debris.......to me.

Black is worm holes in the wood from when it was a a tree and the white to me looks like paint spatter.

The finish is worn through and coming off. Time to refinish. Or it will only get more water damaged.
