I don't see how over the fireplace would be an improvement. If anything, putting it over the fireplace would cause it to be too high to be viewed comfortably. Some people like it over their fireplace, but I think if you have another wall to put it on, that's better.

your room is too narrow for a sectional.

will the new sofa basically take up the same space as that love seat and current sofa?

get the measurements of your new sectional. move the furniture out of the room. now use painters tape on the floor to tape your new piece out on the floor.

you can put the tv over the mantle, (not too high) but you'd have to move the sofa down to the right a bit and view it laying down.

the current sofa/love seat is fine.

you need a rug and some art for the wall above the sofa.

I'd prob get a new window blind and paint your door

Your room is similar to a another thread where a wall mounted TV console was suggested. It would work great in your room, too.
