Right, is omega superior to decora then?

Agreed. The designer and contractor work together i ordered the main cabients I wanted last month. This is just an additional vanity for my powder room. Theyd like them to come all together. They said we can wait if I really cant find what I like. I just dont know a ton about decora.

For a secondary space, Decora will be fine. When the choice is between the two for a primary space, Omega is clearly the winner, with much better quality. But many people do secondary lines for laundry rooms and baths.

Or, you could possibly find a nice piece of furniture to convert for a powder room, or do a console sink out of stone. Powder rooms are usually a bit jazzier and more unexpected jewel boxes, with a lot of personality.

Thank you. Omega felt like a quality line in comparison. I have 3 young kids and we use the powder room heavily, so i want something that will last.

I can't say how any cabinetry will work in your powder room (amount of use? by whom?) , but I have had Omega cabinets in my kitchen since 2009 and I have had zero issues with their function, reliability, ease of opening/closing, etc. I have one small area of flaked paint on the bottom 2 inches of the piece next to my refrigerator (not a cabinet but a filler piece to enclose the fridge). Last week I pulled out the 'repair pen (felt tip) with the matching paint that I received with my purchase, and, sadly, after 14 1/2 years, it was dried up, so now I have to order another touch-up pen and can't find how to do that from Omega, though there are some off-brands that might work. This is pretty minor, though, after such a long time. I would heartily recommend Omega based on our experience.

Can't speak to Decora but Omega cabinets are very nice. So nice, in fact, that the difference in cost between custom and Omega cabinets is generally not that much. (I did a comparison for clients a couple of years ago, and we opted to go custom vs. Omega because they'd be made to measure, and the custom cabinets by a local cabinetmaker would be faster than ordering them from Omega's mid-west factory.)

Don't settle for the lower quality cabinets. Find a custom cabinet maker locally and get a quote. I think you'll be surprised that the price is fairly comparable AND you'll have no issues with installation. I'm betting the local cabinet guy can get the cabinets done in the same time frame as the Decora line.

Omega is better but Decora is a nice upper/middle cabinet. I've never worked with it, except once. A client of mine had a 25 yr old Decora kitchen but she hated her layout. The kitchen was way too small for an island...she kept burning herself on the oven doors...she showed me scars! The husband LOVED the cabinets and didn't want to give them up. So they decided to rework their old kitchen...added more NEW cabinets, changed the layout...etc. You can't even tell the old from the new....that's how well they held up. The 20 year old cabinets looked as good as the new ones.

My opinion on the Decora? It was an awesome cabinet! Definitely fine for a bathroom. IF they have a door/color you like, don't overthink it....just order it if it will come in sooner and keep the project on schedule. You'll pay more for labor/return trips if you get the longer lead time cabinets. Just a thought. But you do what you think is best...just giving my experience with Decora.
