The diamter looks correct for the foyer and placing it in the center of the window seems the right height for the fixture. A chandelier with multiple tiers and with shades would be my recommendation.

@la_la Girl we are absolutely open to suggestions. We were going to get rid of the maroon looking color. We have it in other parts of the living area too. What are you thinking?

It’s a little tpugh to see the colors well with the glare - are the side walls tan or gold? My main thought with gray is it’s good to be careful with it bc it is easy to pick a “cooler” shade that doesnt play well with the other warmer tones in the room (esp wood trim) - for me, there are lots of terrific colors out there and gray just feels a bit played out

What color do you think might work better then a white/gray? I added another pic that maybe helps. It is a tan color next to the maroon if that helps.

If it were me I wouldn’t l do an accent wall and would have all the walls the same color - the walls are pretty chopped up on the left side of the entry so i feel like one color would look better - you could easily spray paint our fixture if you’re looking for a different finish

Is there a reason you haven't put a dimmer in if it is that bright? We have our entry fixture on a dimmer for ambient lighting at night. Actually all of our ceiling fixtures are on dimmers.
