Mine are different. Matte brown and placed a bit further back. Mine also look like one continuous piece and definitely have a hole. I keep saying "look like" because the brown half-round gutters block part of my view and I'm not walking further out right now to look at the details! I'll look when I go out later.

I just looked at my construction photos and found one were I could see the details and I wouldn't be happy with what you got.

Yeah, your guy did not buy the closure pieces. He sat home and gnawed out brake metal.

Here's what my neighbor's eave closures look like. Definitely more rigid than yours and they do have holes for air flow and drainage.
