IMO a poor choice for backsplash so now as much sealer as the tile can handle since every time spaghetti sauce splashes there you will be cursing and the lighter the grout the louder the cursing.

yes, seal the grout. It does come in matte/flat and a glossier finish.

Wipe it over everything and wipe it off.

when the tile was sealed first, did it drip down the sides? if it did, grout will have a hard time adhering.

yes the sealer will darken the grout. but why not test out a sample to see if you like it? it will prop look the same as when the grout was wet.

and yes, you can seal the tile again, but if water already beads up on it, it's as sealed as it's going to get. do not let excess sealer dry on the tile.

Ugh, probably a poor choice to start with then unfortunately.

Everything is dry and no dripping. I have an accent tile above the stove which is not travertine, to which I was planning to put the enhanced sealer. If I have to try it out I will have to get the entire bottle and if I don't like it it would be a waste. Anybody have any pictures of before and after enhanced sealer to get an idea of how much the grout will darken. My grout color is bone.

I used the enhanced sealer on my old travertine floors. I also had tumbled marble on my backsplash. (i've since remodeled)

I had this for 10 years or so, kept it sealed. I didn't have any issues w/it staining.

take a squirt bottle and squirt water on your tile. does it bead up or absorb? If the former, you don't need to seal it as it won't absorb any more sealer. you can just do a grout sealer. (which they make) some change the color, some don't

So according to the tile guy the Mapei grout that has been used, has a self sealer. I checked the cover and it says no sealer required. And he said he has already sealed the tiled before grouting. So don't have to seal again because he used high quality bulletproof sealer.
