exterior color ideas in Florida

Looking for some paint ideas to bring this Florida trailer from drab to fab! Some minor exterior changes can be made, but nothing major.
I’m dreaming of a pale celery green with barely there pink accents. I think bahama shutters are super fun too.
I like how this hive mind thinks. I’m open to any ideas and suggestions!

Can you stand to look at a bunch of color combo pics?

While painting it some cool color combos would take it up a notch, I think that driveway MUST be taken into account as well! Looks like it was already painted once.

It needs to be finely sanded/ground off, and get it etched to accept another color. (try and remove the oil stain first). they do make products for that)

similar style. the bright white w/the aqua is very nice. look at the refinished driveway and what a diff it makes. notcie the solid color bricks, planters, steps, etc.

Also consider redoing the porch steps.

I like your windows, but they aren't meant for shutters. so instead, spruce up the flower beds. paint the brick bed portion and then add some colorful flowers/plants

You see how the bricks here are all the same color? do this w/yours (masonry paint. Or romabio)

paint the steps to match the flower bed (if you can't replace those brick, get some Masonry paint (not regular paint) and paint them all one color)

spray paint the railing or replace that too

found one w/similar style windows. dark trim and a pink-ish home color. I think we can do better

since your home has that vintage look to it, go w/some vintage florida colors

how about this Valspar Sweet melon color (she also gave this name-Valspar Coral Reef)

pair w/a nice turquoise shade.

Or, navy and BM Fashion Pink? paired w/a bright white and blue/white/aqua accents, it's very pretty

How about a pinkish/coral body color, and paint out all of your bricks in this dark gray, along w/bright white trim?

But, I also like this peachy color and a light sky blue. the crepe myrtle really sets it off too

For your area I'd do some potted bouganvillea. next pic, lower left. but they have peach color flower that would work w/this other color combo.

something else you could try for your flower bed is this landscape glass. I have a bunch of these colors I used for my landscape flower beds.

see the cobalt blue glass? this was a shaded area so I also did ferns and orchids. and some colorful mexican talavera pottery too. that's something else you could try.

If you search 'ladscape glass ideas', you get some nice things you could use for the flower bed

with the light blue glass I like these colors for the home

don't forget the colorful pots and flowers. set these in the flower bed if you like, or around the driveway

diff ways to mix the glass w/plants

larger sea glass mixed w/regular rocks/mexican pebbles could look nice too.

If you did the white and bright blue color combo, w/maybe a coral or gold accent, it would work nicely w/the cobalt glass:

The pinks look great. But they’re too “look at me” for your taste, then the turquoise combinations (with some pink!) are very, very Floridian. You will have the happiest house around.

I would address the driveway and lack of any landscaping first. Plain concrete paint from Lowes has been the least expensive and easiest solution for my walkways and patios.

As cute as the colorful suggestions are, if your neighbors are not adding color to their homes, you may have an uphill battle getting the HOA to approve the color scheme.

When redoing the driveway and parking area go for the non-slip poly-urea chip system. Florida rain can make an epoxy floor very slippery. We are pleased with our finished garage floor which was like a skating rink when wet with previous epoxy finish.

I don’t know…..I’m sure I’m the outlier, but I don’t like the “in-your-face-Caribbean “ colors…..softer is better. (The pic with the “hello” sign, maybe slightly softer door? The white house with gray shutters and blue pots, perhaps the soft pink with gray bottom? )

Your initial color ideas sound good. If the “look-at-me” colors don’t feel right, then the more subtle combination you posted is a good start. Pale green is good in any location. Here are some color combinations that are soft greens. I love the light green with the turquoise door.

The newest, upscale mobile home park in our community is showing homes like this. I think you'd have to move to Margaritaville to get an HOA to accept a colorful mobile home.

Fix the driveway #1 before painting. Whatever paint you choose has to harmonize with driveway finish. Then landscaping with some substantial planting beds. A simpler version of this front garden with a small palm tree would greatly enhance your place. Make sure mulching is substantial enough that it doesn't get washed away. Get advice from small garden center for plants that work in your location.

Beth, Those images are from Fort Myers, FL It's the tropics here.

You won't find any mobile home parks in the Fort Myers area with any color. They are all beige, white, and sometimes blue.

I like your idea of celery green and barely there pink. You have such large windows, that there’s barely any siding left to paint! This pale pink color is from Benjamin Moore, which would be lovely on the siding, with celery green shutters and facia. A car parked in the carport is part of the landscape. Is yours a color that could be repeated in your flower selection?

I like the softer colors for sure. We aren’t in Fort Meyers Beach- Palmghetto has fewer restrictions. I’m not looking for anything crazy, just something with a little personality!

Let us know which ideas resonate with you. Maybe the ivory house with a turquoise door from Beverly looks perfect. I do love the idea of using SOME pink or coral.

The roof and driveway are being redone first. Leaning towards a pale blue body with celery green accents currently. Will keep you posted!
