I have a very old stove (Hardwick) whose knobs are breaking. I need a knob that fits a 0.337" diameter D shaft. Yes, I know that's a bizarre size (not even metric), but that's what I get when I measure the shaft with a caliper. One needed for each of four burners. No, there is no model # listed for the stove. This is a 50+-ish year old apartment-style oven/stove. I did get a set of knobs that offered an assortment of shaft sizes, but none were that big. The largest was 5/16". You can get what are allegedly Hardwick repair items, but they usually don't give any dimensions, and when they do, they are for smaller shafts. How do you get off selling a knob without specifying the shaft size it fits?

More to the point, where can I get a 0.337" D fitting? I can always glue it into a knob.

Well, I see that I can get a knob for a 3/8" shaft that is anchored with a set screw from McMaster-Carr. That wouid work. But with shipping, we're talking $25 each. Nuts.
