We did LVP in the basement and it's been great - worn well, not cold etc

We did old school LVP 17 yrs agoe we installed over dricore in our walkout basement . never regretted the choice all this time muddy dog feet (3 huge dogs ) wet feet from the pool all not one issue . Now you get LVP with some type of backing so not need for dricore that aslo helped with the warmer floor.

Epoxy paint on the concrete. Looks good, easy to clean, no place for mold to hide.

WPC is the preferred choice when selecting LVP flooring for your basement because it is softer and warmer compared to SPC. An 8mm thickness offers particular comfort, especially with a nice 1.5mm pad. If you desire an even better underfoot feel, I recommend using a firm cork composite underlayment beneath your WPC floor for added cushioning.
