A sectional with a couple large ottomans to act as chaise extensions and coffee tables could be comfortable.

The living room needs to comfortably seat 6-8. I'd like the color of the seating neutral, but I'm ready to change the monochromatic color scheme by adding pillows and accessories using colors from the rug. I'm also planning to brighten it up by painting the walls BM white dove.

Would you consider adding blues into the room?

This rendition has a 7' by 7' sectional that seats 5 to 6 people. In the corner where the white chair used to be is a black recliner with an ottoman. As you can see the blue was added into the room with the pillows and accent pieces. There are two floor lamps similar to yours; one beside the couch and one over the black recliner. There are also 3 small side tables; one beside the recliner and two on either side of the couch. One round coffee table. Presented for your consideration and viewing pleasure.

I would make the chair in the corner a swivel so you can pull it out a little and the person can watch tv and still easily turn to talk to everyone.

Forgot to mention that the chair in the corner is a swivel chair, as well as the Ottoman is on a swivel as well.

I love seeing these different renditions! It is so helpful to see it all laid out. I think I like the 2 couches better than the sectional. And I love the idea of a swivel chair. The second Legos, end tables and coffee table really complete the room.

How do I coordinate 2 couches, but not get a matching set?

Just as it shows in the rendition. Pick two couches that are the same color, but different styles. In the rendition, we have an armless couch, and one with armrests. That just seems to be one of the easiest ways to do it.

You could bring the chair closer to the fireplace so that the one sitting on it doesn't feel cornered!!. Also, a chandelier would make the place much nicer.
