Zone 8b pnw (looks like it is 9a now since Nov).

I have a 10 ft five year old prunus mume kobai and white flowered bongo in the ground. The bongo is doing fine.

The pink flowers on the kobai feel a bit small and sparse - primarily perhaps because they seem to bloom at different times - base first and then the long shoots. It is in a nice sunny position and receives good care.

I wonder what I am doing wrong….
