That sunflower art is gorgeous! I don’t think that art hung over the sofa will compete with it at all as long as it’s not a strong graphic image in the art. I think the art should be quite large - almost as long as sofa. Do a mock up with taped size or a cardboard cut out to get a feel for how it would look. Frame should be simple like the sunflower art frame. Image - a landscape? A field of flowers? Ocean? Whatever appeals but it should have lots of detail which, even though the art size is larger, the ”pieces” are smaller than the sunflowers. That detail will let the sunflower art keep its star billing.

Thank you for the quick response, I was looking at doing a diptcych or triptych type print to fill the space. Right now I looking at art pics to get some ideas. Great idea to put paper up over the couch in the size of the print.

Gigi, have you ever tried or would consider the seating area facing the big wall, with the TV and a bigger console on that wall?

And really, there are so many other possibilities of placement, sizes, type of art, etc. Just depends on what look you’re going for.

Could the corner blue chair pair with the other? Then you could center the sofa on the wall.

I asked about repositioning the chair so the sofa could be centered on the wall and wall decor would also be centered on the wall.

You say "yes" chair could be moved. Yeah! Now you can center the rug, as well.

Next is the wall decor. Put a console behind the sofa. Add a mirror and put the lamps on it. (Find another room (bedroom?) for the end tables.

Put a tray on the bench to make it a coffee table. This one from West Elm (on sale) would bring in the color of the sunflowers.

Not sure your rug is sized correctly for the size of your room.

See the diagrams below that illustrate how to position the furnishings on the rug. Make sure the front feet of the seating are placed on the rug.

I'd place a plant near the window, move the floor lamp and move the chair a bit closer into the conversation area.

Tryptich isn't my favorite, but I do like the colors.

The television is in the wrong spot. It should either be above the fireplace or you should utilize the large empty wall for the televison and create a 'sitting room' by putting your sofa across from the wall. Once the television is properly mounted, perhaps a sideboard of some type could be beneath it and could be used for storage. Your living room will appear 'warmer' with the furniture in the center of the room vs. lined up along all of the wall space. If you do decide to mount the television above the fireplace, then the sofa should be oppposite and facing it. You could leave one of the chairs where it is. All of the seating should not be in a line. Another plus to putting the tv on the big wall.. you can watch it from the kitchen... Maybe get a slightly larger television too for that matter..

Isn’t the TV 75”? I think the space size of that corner the TV is in is deceiving in the picture. If the TV was hung on large wall being asked about, & the couch was facing TV, then the couch & bar stools would be back to back & create a true aisle. Not a great look for that open room I think. I do think it might work to slide couch down wall to fireplace & place the two chairs facing fireplace with an end table between. That was suggested by @elcieg

Artwork doesn't really compete. Whatever you add should compliment other pieces in a room. Would suggest that you install a large piece above the sofa instead of a grouping of smaller pieces.
