That's more of a gouge than a scrath and you can see from the color variation that the metal is dented as well. Your not fixing that, it will always be visible.

That was exactly my thought when I saw the pic. The hood was gouged and dented. If the hood came like that, (as the contractor insisted), it should’ve been sold at a discount, as ”scratch and dent.” No way to fix, making it unnoticeable.

Didn’t you examine the hood, before purchasing?

If the hood was shipped, who received it? That person should have inspected it.

No, contractor put it up when it was delivered afyer the backsplash was put up.  When i saw it up I noticed the damage.

Then this falls on the contractor to replace. Even plastic wrapped that would have been very obvious damage.
