Hi. I saw your post. It is definitely a bit monochromatic so I can see why you would want to mix it up a bit. Without seeing what else is in your home - I would suggest a floor that is either darker or lighter than what you have now. If you have dark wood furniture - I think it looks great to have light colored floors. If your furnishings are light, I would go with a darker stain than what you currently have. There are so many options. As there appears to be quite a bit of warm/reddish tones in your cabinets - you could try to go with a warm tone on the floor - leaning towards a warm brown. I don't think you should go with anything that has grey tones. Hope this helps a little bit. Of course, this is just an opinion. We are currently doing our own floors and I have yet to pick a stain blend, hoping to narrow it down myself shortly.

Another suggestion I have would be to paint your baseboards and trim a color instead of leaving them stained in a wood tone. But this means either changing out your baseboards or doing quite a bit of sanding and painting. This is by no means necessary but it is a way to break up all the wood.

Thanks, Margaret. We did decide to do painted baseboards, even though we're keeping our wood doors and frames. I like the look of the painted baseboards against the wood floor. I'm thinking about cumaru natural flooring because it has a good amount of variation in it, plus the tones match the richness of the existing wood.

Cumaru sounds like a plan. I hope your making the baseboards a little taller as those look a little wimpy.

I agree, Cumaru would look nice. Another option is Amendiom. I'm not sure unfinished ones are readily available in exotic species. Additionally, a light brown stained maple should complement the decor well too.
