I tried adding this as a comment to an old post of mine about this rose, but it doesn't seem to be working. Anyway, what I was going to say was that it only took me 13 years to give this rose a try. I didn't get it back then, but it arrived late October last year, and the first buds have appeared. Outrageously leafy sepals! IMO the foliage looks more Hybrid Perpetual than Portland. It's still available from ARE if anyone else is interested in this mysterious foundling.
