For the dining room with tropical style table and chairs, I suggest big-leaf tropical valences, such as shown in https://www.amazon.com/tropical-valances-windows/s?k=tropical+valances+for+windows if you want to use valences again. If you prefer full length curtains, a colorful tropical print would coordinate well.

For inspiration, google "Tommy Bahama curtains".

The big-leaf tropical prints look like this wallpaper:

I know you want to talk about window treatments, but you've got a big problem in the living room. That TV cannot stay in front of the window. The layout for this room is wrong. I'd have a better chance to post a plan if I saw the rest of the room, but here's what I can post without seeing the balance of the room.

Now there might be a better location for the TV, but based on what you have presented, a location between the two windows seems best.

I'd find some drapery panels that match the colors in your upholstery and use those in this dining area. Change the ceiling fan to a linear chandelier.

a fresher look for light control and/or privacy

a variety of colors/patterns and style... even roman blinds. Blinds.com

II would recommend changing the layout for the room.

the front door is next to the tv (left side of the tv )and where i’m standing is the kitchen bar is and entry to kitchen… limited flow as couch by stairway has bedroom entry on right side

taking the valances off all the windows would be a great start.

replace the ceiing fan and light kit with a semi flush fixture and get floor and table lamps, the overhead lights will ruin every homey feeling. move the largest piece to the love seat spot and put a smaller of the pieces by the stair

Post more photos of the room.

You will be amazed if you set up your room first before concerning yourself about window treatments. Layout before decor is a good mantra. Beverly is giving you great, great layout ideas so you maximize your windows first--absolutely no TV blocking it. Either TV goes between windows with the TV watching sofa floating across from it and facing the TV and two windows. Or place TV on staircase wall if there's room and it doesn't block walkway too much. This idea--low media shelf below TV.

If you float one sofa, then you and your family can face your windows both in daytime and nightime, which really extends and opens up a living room.

Then add long drapes, ceiling to floor and later, if budget allows the light shades within the drapes as Lyn Neilsen shows. No more valences. No more message decor over windows. All the drapess hould be the same. I think white or ivory with a light, subtle taupe pattern would brighten your rather dark spaces and provide some contrast. Don't buy flimsy ones since you need to balance the heaviness of your brown upholstered furniture with fabric that's a little more substantial.

Remove all bitty pieces of art and messages. The middle of an art work or even smalled framed photos should be about 57"-60" from the floor to the center so the piece is at eye level. Your wedding photos are hung too high.
