Windows Design Dilemma Home Decorating

Giant windows dilemna

We have these giant windows in our family room - we love the view of the covered patio and yard. We don't like the view of the gutters and roof. We just moved into this house and are rehabbing - what do we do for these windows? Currently there are blinds top to bottom - probably original to this 1999 house.

Roller blinds or Roman shades could be lowered just enough to mitigate sightlines to the roof and gutters...a set of three inside mount as you show with the Venetians.

Valences would add a bit of color to the room and cover up the gutter view. You can have tailored, ruffled, or swags. Use the Search Houzz for Valence and you'll see a myriad of styles and colors.
