Gotta have flowers before you get any fruit!! 😉

Don't expect much of a flower show, my Asian persimmon puts out a ton of buds but as they start "blooming" they're still as green as the leaves. Before ya know it you got tiny green persimmons everywhere. What variety are you growing? Happy Harvest (usually in mid-Oct here).

I believe it's a dwarf fuyu. So they are flower buds and I might have fruit this season?

Yes. You can see, or feel, the four sections of the calyx which will later appear on the top of the fruit.

Thank you! That's so exciting; the first year it will fruit. I had an old persimmon tree that was here when we bought the house. It was prolific until it got sick and dies, so I'm delighted to have fruit this fall. Thanks again for all the help.
