Thanks, Celery. We were hoping to stay within the current flower bed that is already there. It may look like our front yard is large in the picture but it really is not. The current flower bed is 13 feet long, and 6 feet at its widest and 3 feet at its shortest.

I am such a fan of hydrangeas. I bought a mini Annabelle. It has big white round blossoms that turn lime green as they age. I get blooms from early summer to fall.

If you want something really low maintenance, use a groundcover. If you're at least zone 5, Geranium 'Karmina' or 'Biokovo' should be semi evergreen for you and will require practically no maintenance.

I'd place two yews closest to the porch then place daylilies in front of the yews to fill out the circle. Plant daffodils amongst the daylilies for spring color.
