All moved in? Machines set up? Fabric cut?

Oh yes, is the furniture in place? the kitchen cupboards all nice and neat? The beds made with lovely quilts?

I hope the move went well and you are enjoying the whole experience.

I was thinking about our last move when I did a lot of the packing up. When the truck arrived here, the driver was a bit miffed. His whole truck smelled of maple syrup. His fault for putting that box up to where it ’shifted in flight’. It could have been worse!

Thanks for asking, Theresa! The movers were done unloading about 1 pm Wednesday, and in 48 hours we’ve made pretty good progress. The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom are pretty much unpacked, and we’re working on the sewing room now. We still have a long way to go! The kitty is getting acclimated to her new surroundings.

That’s great news about your previous home. What a relief!

Years ago after a move, we couldn’t find our cat. We thought he might have gotten out. The house was a new-build, and workman had been going in and out. We had everyone looking for him. Turns out he was hiding in a box in a closet. Poor guy took a while to acclimate.

Good news, Donna!

It's been 30 years since we last moved and we jokingly tell our son that we are never moving and all of this will be his someday.

Sue, we were in the Winter Garden house 32 years. We moved in on April 12 and out on April 16!

Lois, we had Sami shut out on the screen porch while they were moving stuff out. There was nothing on the porch, so they didn’t open the doors. My DH and I went out a couple of times to cuddle with her. One time I looked out and she was gone! Finally found her under the bed. She must have slipped in with me or hubby.

We are back in WG today to get my sister packed up to move. Hubby is worried about leaving Sami alone at the new house after only three days. He has to go back to Live Oak tomorrow to return to work on Monday. I’m staying through Wed.
