Reading meditation nook? lol

Id either close it up make it a closet or if those walls aren't structural I'd open it up more so it's flush to the surrounding wall so you can get back that sqft in the room

Maybe it won't be useful to open it up but it will visually make your spacey feel larger

Who will be using the attic ? Kids? It will have sleep area? It is mostly storage? It will be an office ? It will be a teen hangout? Who and what?

How can we help, when you have given no user or purpose to the REST of the space?

Low cubbies is all I can see working, as no matter what the room is being used for, they will be handy. To maximize the space, add to all 3 walls.

If room is being used for a younger child, a little hideaway is always special.

If for a teenager, add a bean bag and in either case, consider a cozy rug. To add some fun, consider adding wallpaper (that connects to the room’s decor) or a cozy paint color.
