CSO? Even Google didn't tell me what it is.

CSO = Convection Steam Oven

A CSO is a convection oven, regular oven, steam oven and a convection/steam oven all in one.

There are some "ovens" that are purely steam, but that isn't called a CSO.

I have a 24" Miele CSO XXL and a 36" Range oven w/convection. I use the Miele CSO all the time. Only time I use the large oven is when entertaining a large group.

Now that I have remodeled/built 2 kitchen and used different appliances, if I still had a family at home, the perfect set-up would be 3 (three) of the Miele CSO XXL! That would cover pretty much the whole range of things you might want to do.

First kitchen: 48" Wolf Dual Fuel Range & 24" Miele CSO XXL

Second kitchen: 36" Wolf Induction Range & 24" Miele CSO XXL.

If you are going to do a CSO, get the model that can be plumbed with water supply and drain. So much easier to cook and run the cleaning & descaling cycles if the CSO has its own water supply and drain. I have the CSO do a quick rinse after every use. Press a button and walk away.

@chipsa do you also have a microwave or speed oven?

In my previous kitchen I had a 24" Wolf microwave drawer. Hated the control panel that was hard to see. Had to bend down to read it.

In the current kitchen, since Sharp makes all the microwave drawers, I just got the 24" Sharp MW drawer with the tilting panel.
