Does the foliage have any scent to it?

I never checked scent. I'll do it tomorrow and let you know. I'm going to extract it and pot it up.

Now those are rugose leaves.

Don't know the location but I read that Clary Sage is invasive in some areas of N America.

I grew Clary Sage 30 years ago. I wasn't much impressed with it, and I gravitated to other Salvia like coccinea, lyrata and azurea. I've grown a couple tall Mexican bush sages and the psychedelic Salvia divinorum. The Salvia lyrata is tenacious, and will be with me forever. I'm going to grow this volunteer out, and reevaluate it's virtues. Is there any possibility it will look like the colorful 'Pink Butterflies' cultivar I wonder Lol.
