I am purchasing LaCornue 110.

I am purchasing a LaCornue CorneFe 110 in either Ocean or Provence Blue. I will have painted cabinets in a dark gray called knights armor with a Carrera marble countertops. I love the Provence blue, but I am wondering if any of you have that color with dark cabinets?? I can imagine the Provence blue stands out beautifully with white cabinets, but I’m not sure with a dark color. My kitchen and common living area are in a barn with very large posts and beams — which tends to be very masculine. I am trying to pretty it up a bit. All the walls will be white plaster.

LaCornue CorneFe Ocean looks* very similar to PPG PPG10-03 Twilight Stroll whose description is "a saturated, gray, Caribbean aqua with a turquoise undertone". An accent color for Twilight Stroll is PPG PPG1001-4 Flagstone, a darker version of which is PPG PPG1001-6 Knight's Armor. Given that these are all in the gray family, they might make a good pair of range and cabinet colors.

Either one of those colors will make for a gorgeous range. If your goal is to "pretty it up", there are probably better colors than Knight's Armor, which is very dark and masculine.

This is a couple of hundred thousand dollar project. Do you not have a kitchen designer involved? Because you should.

I have a Chateau 180 in French Blue. Excuse the Vacmaster on the counter, my Miele vacuum drawer is not working. We matched our cabinets to the True refrigerators, and very happy to have the La Cornue pop off the cabinets. We did not have a kitchen designer… we somehow managed to design the entire house ourselves, from layout to finishes.
