photo?

I thought I saw a photo here and then it vanished? What I saw looked like a yellow flowered Trifolium species that looked similar to Trifolium didymum or Trifolium campestre.

It most likely is Trifolium. I lost Veronica whitewater here :(

Loved the delicate ground cover. I did not realize there was a hollow in this spot caused very slow drainage.

Could you give a geographical location? There are numerous species of Trifolium.

zone 8. oregon

There are several Trifolium species in Oregon. Any chance of another photo that's clear enough to capture the pubescence of the leaves and stems?

Slightly better, thanks! I think floral may be on to something with Medicago. Here's a couple pics for an onsight comparison.

Medicago lupulina

Medicago polymorpha. There are a few more Medicago species in Oregon, M. aribica, M. minima, M. praecox and M. sativa.

The stems do look a bit thicker and almost woodier than the Medicagos I'm familiar with. But we only see a couple here. I've never seen Kummerowia. Is that impossible in Oregon? Let's hope we see flowers soon.

Kummerowia isn't in Oregon according to BONAP. I may have passed by it without noticing it, because there are a few similar looking legumes in my area. I tried searching Kummerowia on i naturalist and it wouldn't accept the name?
