I don’t know how houzz does it but often with review sites if you’ve only written one review it ends up hidden. Take the time to write some others- the plumbing store you worked with, maybe the tile store, etc. Anyone who worked on the project that’s also on houzz. Helps if some are positive!

They don't delete it. But if you get nasty in the review, instead of being just dry statements of facts, it is not publishable.

Sometimes in a storage area or in other areas that do not necessarily require first class finishes, corners are cut to save the owner and builder time and money. I would guess for an additional $18,000 that plaster could look perfect.

My review I left was actually so kind considering what he put us through for 2 1/2 years. We paid an insane amount of money to this man and he cut corners in every area possible.

Took this builder 2 1/2 years to build a garage with finished space above. We had to hire lawyers just for him to finish the project. I have 75 pictures of unacceptable work for claiming to be a high end builder. Unfortunately, he has all positive reviews on this website unlike other websites that I unfortunately did not check on previously

Joseph, fair point, more info on the location would help. It says a dry storage area which I assumed was in a garage or basement. What isn't acceptable to me is that the piping should either be behind the drywall or in front of it, not half way through like that.

From my own experience in multiple houses, the mechanical room has been in part of the garage with finished drywall and no half exposed pipes like that. This included a tract home. I just can't see how a custom builder would find this level of quality acceptable. I don't think it's a cost thing, but more of a planning and execution of the project issue.

$900 for paint says it all. When you are dealing with a low budget contractor, you get low budget work. 8 gallons isn't covering a whole house, and that doesn't even include primer.

That was an up charge to do 3 rooms.

Construction often looks bad close up. Gain context and perspective. From a distance some things are not noticeable and tract homes do not have the same level of finish craftsmanship as custom homes. Rarely when a customer orders a beer do they get champaign.

Unfortunately, we paid for Cristal and received Busch lite! It was custom and he claimed to be high end. After talking to his contractors they wondered why I chose him b/c every job is a nightmare with his clients. The contractors couldn’t say anything nice about him. 75% quit b/c lack of payment or expecting them to do favors for free.
