CK does not currently have it in stock. It appears other vendors carry it but most all of them are out of stock as well.

It is a striking plant but given the widespread issues of growing healthy Colorado spruces just about anywhere outside of Colorado, I might opt for something like P. abies Pusch instead.

That’s a beauty Ken! I have never seen red cones develop on a conifer….so beautiful. Is one of those that becomes a monster or one that stays small? Inquiring minds and all……

Great to see a good sized one. These are dwarf trees. Among the first conifers I planted (before the addiction set in). I managed to find a couple at a nursery in Indiana that was on the route back from visiting my daughter in Chicago. I think they were the last two they had. Seems like that was 6 or 7 years ago and like most things, I crowded them in a bit. They still have room to grow, but I'm starting to look at what I can move to keep them happy. The American Conifer Society has them listed for sale for $30. You need to be a member to access them.
