I was sure I replied earlier but it's gone. At the moment the area appears bitty with odd artefacts dotted around but no cohesion. I would not use that pot. It is too small to make any impact and also clutters the tub side and is a trip hazard. I'd also remove the random pile of rocks behind it. I'd get rid of the curve in the bed too. It has no purpose. This is a functional area, not a cottage garden and clean lines would look much better. The hanging baskets are lush and healthy but would look more coherent if they were the same. You have one trellis on the fence which looks a bit lost and forlorn. To make an impact you could put up three. Then I'd fill the beds with perennials and stick a small flowering tree in the corner to try and hide the neighbour's house.

The other thing that really leaps out is all the works for the tub. They need some kind of screening. I wouldn't clutter the area with statues or anything else, unless you can afford something with genuine artistic merit.

I agree with @floraluk2’s suggestions to simplify and screen the areas adjacent to the tub.

Consider a tree or tall bush or narrow evergreen near the fence if you need privacy from the neighbor when using the hot tub

As you use the hot tub more, you may find wider stairs safer and easier to climb over the side of the tub. Also consider soft lighting at night (especially around the stairs and cover lift). A console or other type of table that is easily reached when in the tub can be helpful for drinks, phone, snacks, etc.

Why did you not just continue the deck all arounf the hot tub. That fence needs a huge power wash and what you have is a mish mash and not attractive and what is the black material and why the odd shaping of that area. Less is more is a good plan always .
