I've got a 3-gal. Hornbeam Maple coming in the next week and need to decide the best location for it. Has anyone tried -- or seen it -- growing in dappled shade (1-2 hours of direct sun)? I've got another location with more direct sun, but I'd prefer to leave it for an Aesculus I've got coming. Does this tree have any tolerance for dryish soil? Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated.
