So, to address what @kitasei2 is asking about:

If those are current photos, then you have two different Viburnum plicatum f. tomentosum (Doublefile Viburnum) blooming at the same time. First hurdle crossed. 50 yards apart - 150 feet - shouldn't be too far for active pollinators to fly to achieve cross-pollination, but closer is always better. That would be hurdle number two.

Final hurdle is human observation! If you aren't visiting the plants after the petals fall, you may very well miss the show. You should see greenish fruit forming where fertile flowers were pollinated (in the center of the bloom, not the big showy sterile florets forming the perimeter).

They will color up to bright red in a few weeks to a month, depending on your local conditions.

They will be consumed by birds pretty quickly after they mature. If you have no birds, they finally turn a dark blue/black, and are quite edible.

These pictures are all of the selection 'Shasta'. The images provided by @kitasei2 look like 'Shasta' or 'Mariesii' in the first image, and then one of the taller narrower selections like 'Summer Snowflake' in the second photo.

Cranberry viburnum fruits are, well, TART -- enough to pucker your mouth. I'd guess the Amer natives used them to "jazz up" some of their foods.

After the birds eat the fruit, the seeds end up all over the place and make little doublefile viburnums.

I would not disagree that Doublefile Viburnum wears the "black hat" in zones like the mid-Atlantic states. I don't know where @kitasei2 gardens.

I am in New York north of NYC so I guess this applies to me! But better viburnum seedlings than the burning bush, multiflora rose, barberry, and sweet autum clematis I’m dealing with now..
