The desk has to stay, but does it have to take up all the window area? Can it face the wall instead?

Would it be possible to put your couch facing the window either centered or at a diagonal angle with your television in front or diagonal to the window, put your desk on the wall with a horizontal book shelf over the desk. Then you could put a piece of art on the blank wall.

Even if you leave everything where it is I don't see why you can't put art on the wall over the sofa. Art adds personality and I think it would also distract from the desk. Get something large that you love, or display two or more pieces. Why do you have layered rugs?

I think you've done a good job with the layout already. It's nice to look outside when you're working. I can see that your sit/stand desk is in the stand position. I would lower the desk after work if it's easy so your window is not as blocked. A larger painting would look nice over the sofa.

Playful, pretty, functional space. Nice colors. My biggest problem is the bookshelf to the left of the desk. It really draws your eye back to that area and I think we need to trick the eye into staying away from that desk area. Are those shelves built in? If not, remove them, then hang artwork over your sofa. It will have less to compete with on that wall with the shelves gone.

I think a more interesting rug and patterned pillows will liven up the furniture. Etsy is a great source for the pillows.

Yes, the desk hogging the window space isn’t great. I agree the furniture should be rearranged as suggested.
