Love it. I would keep any backsplash quiet and let the Taj be the star. Add a couple wood cutting boards to help tie things together. You won’t need more color or action on your backsplash. Keep it simple. Soft gold hardware on your cabinets woukd bring unity too.

You could go with Taj for the bs as well, but you know what would really help you out? Inspiration images of kitchens with Taj counters and white cabs. There are oodles of them, several right here on houzz, just google it. Those images will transport you to the early 2000s but it’s a pretty timeless look.

Have you looked at a sample door next to your slab? If the cabinets are too cool a white you may not like them together. Obviously some commenters think it's not a problem, but you're the only one who can judge it. We aren't seeing the two next to each other, and different people like different things.

Agree with the above — do you have a sample door?

I used zellige lookalike tile(not fully grouted) for the backsplash, though I used a black quartzite for the peripheral countertops and Taj for the island. You can see them together in the picture, with white(swiss coffee cabinets). Hope this helps.

I was impressed with mcgee's kitchen where the cabinets are creamy and the countertop is cooler. If this works, why can't the reverse work? Perhaps you can get tips from how she pulls in stuff together like warmer-toned lights, faucets etc.

I have Taj Mahal counters with BM Chantilly Lace white cabinets. It looks good with bright white.

I used this Jeffrey Court marble mosaic with mine. I had to look for a honed backsplash due to large kitchen windows and glare on the polished Taj Mahal and any glossy tiles I tested.

LM, what color did you paint your cabinets?

LM, I I know this is an old thread, but do you have any pics of the Zellige tile installed? I'm considering that but concerned about some of the more rustic looks.

chispa, I love the tile you chose, but it appears to be a very stark white...which is wonderful with your Chantilly Lace cabs, but mine are White Dove. Do you think it would be too cool?

@rivahgal1, I picked the tile mosaic because it was a good complement to the brighter white of BM Chantilly Lace cabinets. The brown mosaic picks up the warmth of the Taj Mahal, my medium stained wood floors and ceiling beams.

I have BM White Dove on the walls and it only touches the tile mosaic in one 18" section at the end of the cabinet run. It does make the BM White Dove look more yellow, so probably not the best idea to use it with BM White Dove cabinets.
