an actual table would be more suitable/functional for the space. what will you actually use the ottoman for?

You mean you want to purchase chairs that recline and don't hit a coffee table in the middle, or you want people to recline in the current furniture and put their feet on the new round ottoman?

i already have the reclining chairs and i did not want them to hit the ottoman when reclined. i also want to use the ottoman as a footstool/table. what do you think of the one i have in picture size wise

The size looks right. That one looks too gray next to the other furniture in the room.

You can use your existing ottoman, but no one likes the insecurity of trays on top of ottomans, that's why I'd suggest you purchase a C Table to slide under/ over the ottoman to hold drinks

The room is pretty and looks very cozy and comfortable!

I’ve been using an ottoman with tray for years with no problem.Since you room is tight get a sturdy tray with 2” sides and stemless glasses for drinks.
