A new wood mantel to match flooring & with more ’heft’ & wider? Hard to say really without seeing what’s going on in the rest of the room.

Thank you so much for the feedback and the image Fireplace Treatments. That really gives me a good idea. I like the modern fireplace that really cool. I'm not sure if I'm ready to go that modern. Is there another option that might be a little more traditional or transitional?

If you are talking to me, all of the photos I added are still in the thread. Make sure you have the thread sorted by "Oldest" so you can see everything from first to last in the order in which things were posted. I also find it best to view the forum on a PC rather than a phone. Not sure which you are using, but it seems less confusing on a PC.

Oddly, when I viewed this thread on my cell, I also could not see the previous posts until I logged in as a Pro. I am re-posting my previous posts. Hopefully you can see them.

Cover the wall with metal wall panels. Add an insulated metal mantel so you can lower the TV to a better viewing height. I see there is no hearth, so wood or gas burning is not to code. Add a remote controlled electric fireplace insert, which works without a hearth.

Try a reclaimed wood mantel of some sort and a Custom Fireplace Screen.
