Nothing has changed. Sintered is just a dense porcelain. Porcelain still chips with impacts. Chips are not warrantied. It's a standard expectation that it will chip. Resin repairs of chips will never blend as well as with a natural stone. It's up to you if you can live with that drawback.

I took this picture of Lapitec Sintered Stone at the SFA meeting in Perrysburg, OH, this afternoon. As you can see, the veining goes completely through the 2cm material, meaning sharp mitered edges aren't necessary. While you can't tell from the picture, the bullnose at the bottom left has a wonderful matte finish; the others are gloss. Bullnose may not be your preference, but it is absolutely the least likely edge to chip. If you chip the pencil edge shown, your repairperson has a chance at eliminating it or at least making it inconspicuous which isn't really possible with printed mitered sintered.

If you insist on a 3cm edge, when you miter through-body, the top can still get a more rounded edge and remain much more repairable. I wouldn't bother; the 2cm looks modern and nice to me.

Sintered's biggest drawback has been eliminated. Choose wisely please.

Thanks Joseph and Minardi for the feedback. Choose wisely- good advice! I was hoping to hear back from people who have installed ( or seen the slabs) for the Infinity brand. Do they mimic real stone/ concrete?

Often times posters are hoping for confirmation bias of a particular brand here. They think that the brand they're in love with will somehow perform differently than others. It won't. It doesn't matter the product; it's all virtually the same stuff.

Plus anecdotal evidence isn't worth much anyway.
