If it blooms repeatedly through the growing season, it's 'New Dawn'. If it blooms only in the spring with no repeat then its 'Dr. W. van Fleet'.

Well, that was pretty easy. I believe this rose blooms twice. Once now and then again late summer (not a full bloom just a few here and there) so, I guess it's "New Dawn". It's a beast to trim back, I know that, and it's pretty tall probably around 15'

That is completely untrue! Mine were planted in the 1,930s and will grow almost indefinitely from their laterals. Look pretty if you could cast it on the fence that's next to it if that is yours. It is definitely new dawn also and looks so pretty there. Congratulations!
