Hardware looks nice black knobs and handles … i dont think so…the backsplash isnt working well w counterand floor. i dont think fans belong in the kitchen so id look for a ceiling fixture….between that and new backsplash and stainless mwave you’d have a nice refresh.

I would not do black hardware. What is there now blends nicely. I really like the backsplash with the cabinets. Great color combo. The counters and floor feel like the odd ones out in this room. Do you have enough funds for new floor and/or counters?

Agree with a simple SS hood to replace the microwave and then I’d add a rug to break up the floor - then move in and enjoy, it’s a nice looking kitchen

Hood with the vent duct out through the cabinets to the right to outside. Replace the range with induction. Frigidaire slidein. Undercab led lighting. Remove the fan.

Look at low profile microwaves. It goes over the range, but it is less bulky, more sleek. We love ours.

A proper hood over therange, a MW on the counter , leave the pulls and chnge all the light bulbs to LED 4000K and once the hod is in remove that fan and hove on e more light al;so LED 4000K. Evertything else is liveable and wait to see how it all functions for you .The back splash is not IMO grat but white subway would not be good and no blavk handles either .

Are you a d.i.y. type person? If so, you can really make your budget go a lot farther. It's not that hard to paint cabinets, install a new backsplash or replace flooring.

In addition to the regular hood, my thought is that there are a number of different brownish greys, and three different random patterns (floor, countertop, backsplash) .

Rather than white tile is there a solid color that is not brownish grey that can be pulled by from the countertop for a plain but colored backsplash.

You say you're on a budget--what you would be able to do depends on the budget. $500, $5,000, $10,000? Also, did you just move in? If yes, live in it for a while and see how it works before you spend anything on it.

If you are selling, replace the microhood with a stainless steel one. That’s all.

If you are buying, do nothing for a while and see how you use the space. I see a lot of builder errors that will either drive you nuts, or not bother you at all. For example, the placement of the tall pantries would drive me bananas, as would the lack of drawers. This might not bother you at all. You can’t know what to change for yourself until you live with it. Best of luck.

I would replace the MW with a stainless steel under-cabinet hood and then get a countertop MW. If your budget allows, I would then replace the BS tile with something simple and nuetral that coordinates well with your countertop and cabinets (not white)--but this is not a must have by any means. I like the hardware that you currently have and would not go with black, even though I am a fan of black hardware and have it in my own kitchen--it just doesn't seem to go with what you have in your space. Nor would I paint those beautiful cabinets. Otherwise, its a great kitchen with plenty of drawers, countertops, a nice big pantry cabinet, window above the sink, DW on the right side of the sink and out of the prep space, and a very functional work triangle--lucky you! If you ever remodel down the road, you'll want to make sure you have at least 12" of countertop on both sides of the range, but for now it is perfectly fine, just make sure to place hot pots away from the doorway whenever you can and maybe get an induction to make it a tad safer.

You might try replacing the fan with a flush mount chandelier, add black hardware, add the stainless steel microwave, and look at doing a very light and simple backsplash. The backsplash currently there doesn't work with the countertops. Please take a moment to notice the simple backsplashes used in the kitchen designs below.
