Star Sweep is finished

last year

This is Star Sweep from Bonjour Quilts. I really didn't have great expectations for this quilt. I was just trying to use up some 2-1/2" strips, but I really like it now that it's finished. As my sister would say, it makes me happy. It is 60"x76", and the quilting pattern is Spilt Paint from Anne Bright. I had fun choosing coordinating fabrics for each block. The backing and binding are a mottled green fabric. Thanks for looking.

I always love your scrap quilts: they’re always so bright and cheerful and would light up any room :-) This one is gorgeous!

You have done it again, my friend! You are my hero!

Sometimes those ’iffy’ ones turn out great.

Lois, I was just looking at some of the patterns on the Bonjour Quilts sight again today(we just got starlink!!!). She has some really nice modern designs. I think that "Star Sweep" warrants more consideration after seeing how nice yours turned out! Very well done!

...and you have to guess where my boat is anchored right now! We will have to return this December or January to do some island excursions and to dine at a certain restaurant😋

Are you at Princess Margaret Bay (I think thats the name) in Bequia, SVG?

  • last year

Yes, Admiralty Bay off of Princess Margaret Beach. Stayed for a very windy last night , but we are leaving shortly for Carriaccu. We will definitely be back later thus year or early next year. After almost 3000 miles, I'm ready for a 2 week break when we head up to Missouri for my son's wedding while the boat gets bottom paint and solar install.

Char, be sure to let me know when you will be there so my sis can watch for you. Her name is Linda and the restaurant is The Porthole.

    Thanks, Theresa

Loiis, another stunning quilt! I love how you always pull off making a quilt look planned when you say you just are using up fabric!
