Dry dusting with a microfiber is 95% of cleaning. No wet anything.

I use Doozy Pre-Cleaner on my cabinets: Doozy Pre Cleaner 24 oz. - Clean-Mart

I don't use it often, though -- dusting regularly should be the main routine, and spot-rubbing with a damp cloth if there's anything gunked on (always seems to be by the handles, doesn't it).

ETA: Although, you don't mention if your cabinets are painted or wood. I have wood cabinets, not sure if the Doozy would be ok with painted cabinets. Still, dry dusting and damp cloth when/where needed 99% of the time.

I ended up waxing them and using a buffing pad to shine them up. Now it just takes a little soap and water to clean them right up and a dry microfiber cloth afterwards to dry and buff. Thank you for all the suggestions or ideas
