wood, LVP stairs?

Wondering what material to put on stairs. Our whole lower level is porcelain stone. Upstairs guest bedroom is going to be LVP. I’ve been warned against doing LVP for stairs as it’s slippery. We have 3 kids. We could always do an LVP with a runner? Any thoughts?

I assume you mean that the floor is stone-look porcelain tile. Stairs are more visible from the bottom of the staircase than the top, aren't they? Why not use the same porcelain tile for the stairs? This porcelain stair tread, for example, has grooves cut in it to reduce the chance of slipping. Other Photos.
