Can I Unjam a Manual Chain Hoist

I accidentally pulled a chain hoist too high and now it is jammed inside the opening for the chains on top. I tried to pull and twist this out, but it is in there very tight. Any ideas on how to get this out? This is a cheap Chinese hoist, but it has been reliable until now.

Spray with silicone to get slippery on every last bit?

Put it in a deep freezer for several hours?

Haul it around in the back of a 1960's Datsun pickup for a few weeks?

Of the 3 option ci_lantro gave this one would have the highest chance of working. Soak it with WD-40 first and you may only need 1 week.

I recently had a root wrapped around the motor shaft of my chipper shredder. I worked for hours trying to cut it free. Finally decided to take it to the commercial shop. It was about a 10 mile drive, and by the time I got there it was moving free. The shop charged me nothing for taking my chipper shredder for a ride. I suppose the chipper shredder had read one to many gangster books and knew the gangster mean for the phrase "taking them for a ride"
