Bathroom ceiling paint color

We are remodeling our primary bathroom and I'm having a hard time picking a paint color. In the rest of our house, our walls (eggshell) and trim (satin) is SW Pure White, and then generic white ceiling paint. I want to warm up the bathroom a little bit by going with (likely) SW Greek Villa or SW Cotton.

In either case, I'm thinking I'll go with an eggshell for the walls and semi gloss for the trim and doors. The eggshell/satin combo in the rest of the house doesn't pop as much as I thought it would. It all looks like the same sheen to me.

For the ceiling, would you stick with generic white ceiling paint or would you do the same color as the rest of the room? This bathroom has no windows or skylights, unfortunately, so no natural light.

SW Greek Villa or SW Cotton are great options for a bathroom. ceiling the same. get the lighting right...

Thanks Lyn. Do you have any opinions about SW Origami White? That's the only other color I'm considering. I know it's hard to get colors right looking at a screen, but here's a quick pick of some of our finishes. Our shower walls are a blushy-terracota color, the floor is similar to gray concrete but can pull warm, and the vanity is rift-cut white oak in Minwax Fruitwood. Our plumbing fixtures are all Delta champagne bronze. Countertop is white quartz with some simple gold veining. Going for a neutral spa-like vibe.

everyone has their own idea of what Spa like is... I personally think the terracotta coloring is too dark for a shower without natural light. it may feel too closed in. I prefer very light walls/ceiling, surround, okay to do the floor tile a deeper tone as in grounding. I understand the scale style, but a very light hint of color would be fresher... as for colors in general, they will look darker in your room. are all your fixtures white?

I always paint ceilings the same color as the walls. Go for it in here. My first thought about the shower walls was the same as Lyn's. How large is your shower and how many walls are tile vs glass? If you are not getting much light in there, I think you might feel the blushy tone reads are dank rather than uplifting.

That's fair! We both love it and the shower is in the middle of the room as a big focal point. The bathroom itself is quite large. It used to be two full primary bathrooms, now combined into one. I think we've got enough lighting to keep it bright - lots of cans and 3 double-light sconces across the 11ft vanity across from the shower. Fixtures are all champagne bronze.

The shower is 4'x6'. Two walls go to the 9ft ceiling with tile and then the other two are half glass/half knee wall. We could add some solar tubes down the road to add natural light, as it's just attic above the bathroom. Tile is already purchased and going up this week and next, so that won't be changing.
