Roll up a couple of sheets of newspaper into a loose tube, put the tube in a small paper bag, lay on the ground. Dispose on trash day or put the bag/tube in the bbq and light it on fire.

Sluggo Plus is effective, as is diatomaceous earth. But I wouldn't get too carried away with eradication. Earwigs are serious aphid predators.

It's all about balance. Sometimes it is worth sacrificing a plant or two to keep the garden in harmony and maintain the natural order.

@A Mat So is the theory there that the earwigs use that as a daytime hiding place?

@gardengal48 (PNW Z8/9) So maybe what I really need is a live earwig trap, and then move them over to their new home on my aphid-infested mandevilla.
