Lots of pretty clumps here! When I first read the caption for Jellyroll Morton I looked for another daylily: My Big Boy!!!

White Eyes Pink Dragon has made some nice clumps-so pretty. Boy Crazy does indeed show out. Crystalline Butterfly has a nice look. Just a lot of pretty ones still blooming!

That is Beowolfe, the one I have been feeding chicken and turkey to keep alive, Kate. . We actually finally got a pretty good rain this morning! Finally! There will be very few pictures because it was raining nicely but I did shoot a couple....in the rain.

White Eyes Pink Dragon is such a good plant here. It always has a lot of lovely clumps. Boy Crazy has had an exceptional year.

I have reached the point of saying goodbye to several most days. Yesterday I pulled 238 blooms....the highest bloom count I had was 770. I am still working in the yard so the shorter intense season will work well this year. And, this is the best year Crystalline Butterfly has ever had. The blooms are so pretty when you see them. I am going to drop you a short note.

I've missed the back story on Beowolfe. Is he sick? He's a nice looking garden buddy...........Jellyroll Morton always looks great. A real winner........The other stand out is Crystalline Beauty........... But then Chicago Sun is a great shade of yellow that makes me smile......You really have so many pretty ones still blooming. What's your rebloom situation going to be? Do you think you will get as much as last year?...................Maryl

Yes Maryl, Beowolfe has cat FIV which is a devastating disease. He has been in many of my garden photos over the years. Feeding feral cats has it problems,, of course and this is one of them. They usually become very tame after a while. I can pick them up and they act very much like any other cat but an odd one can show up and spread a disease throughout the group.

This happened here and I have already lost two long term cats including one who came as a kitten. It is usually the males that die because they fight and spread it during mating season and they are all infected before you know there is a problem.

I know his time is ending and I really hate that because he is a character. Of course, you love them like your own when you name them, feed them, and they follow you around the garden.

I love the Jellyroll Morton photo with Beowolfe. So sad to see your big boy has FIV. It's nice to see Zuzu's Treasure blooming for you! Crystalline Butterfly is so pretty! I notice the NGA database doesn't have any photos of that one. You should add some of yours. That is a pretty photo of White Eyes Pink Dragon!

Debra, I sent a very nice photo of Crystalline Butterfly two years ago and was turned down very nastily by California sue so I haven't sent anything else to them. Zuzu'a Treasure and Cocoa's challenge have both done well this year. Cocoa's challenge especially. I am so pleased with Zuzu's Treasure because it is a pretty one with a Z name and most of the "z"s aren't that I have seen. Beowolfe is a fighter and he wants to live. He still rolls at my feet to have his belly petted and follows my garden tour every morning, no matter how early. Getting him to eat can be a problem, but I work with him...We have almost three years in this battle now.

My season is rapidly coming to a close; the earliest in years, but the lasts weeks have been beautiful so it is fine. I do continue to find rebloom scapes so there will be scapes for a while but not many more clumps I think. I have certainly had much more than my scare of clumps, most of which are never posted...how could they be? I enjoy everyone's photos and look forward to the later posters. I do like garden photos and am glad to see them.

Have you made headway on your planned move? I know you have to be excited plus a bit nervous. Change makes us that way, even good change.

Your upload of Crystalline Butterfly was rejected? Jazz After Five looks good. Appears to be a tall plant, which is typical of Selman. White Eyes is definitely performing for you. Alas, Jellyroll here is washed out at one location, which is blooming well ahead of the other location. Same thing with Playing with Crayons.

Do you think the lack of rain could explain the difference in the two clumps, Mantis? That would only happen if one received more water I suppose because I am sure they are in farly equal heat zones.

White eye has typically performed well here but, of course, there may be an off year in the future.

Your last year artistic photo of Playing With Crayons was so lovely that I purchased the plant and I do like it very well. Currently, Crazy Kate, purchased at the same time, is preforming a bit better but they are both doing well for first year plants. And Yes, the photo was rejected.
