Gold standard?

You know lindalana, that didn’t occur to me….. I have GS, but my leaves are not this round and it doesn’t have a hit of a bud on it yet. HL says GS blooms mid to late summer. Not saying it isn’t but, maybe another one will come to mind???

Paul's Glory?

I was about to say 'Paradigm' and then I went and checked the flowers on mine and they don't look like what you have...

I don't think it's Paul's Glory, as it's edge is darker green and wider. The contrast is very distinctive. It's really jagged, for lack of a better term. Also, It bloomed for me really early, but I'm in zone 8, and fragrants are blooming now. So, the bloom time will be different.

Not a bad guess Gary but do you think the flower is the same? Doesn’t seem like it to me. I really never saw a flower like this one with the dark purple on the side of a lighter petal……seems unusual to me.

Old Glory never even crossed my mind and I have it. Mine is in a lot more shade so it isn't as brightly colored. Might have to move it.

Debra it was the flowers that really narrowed it down. Happy to help and great that old_dirt confirmed.

Gary it is interesting that in the HL they show two specimens side by side, one grown in sun and the other in shade. It is quite a difference. I think it is terrific both ways. Instead of moving yours you just might need to get another lol!

Debra, what a lovely hosta! Maybe she can share some with you??? Im putting Old Glory on my list if I ever get dome room.

I have two and as Gary's mine are in shade and barely starting to bloom. I did have it in more sun in previous house. Interesting that Debra pic showed more texture and corrugation but in reality it is softer roundish leaf. I wonder if sun changes this too.
